Boutique Hotel Matlai comprises two beachfront villas, Asili House and Villa Kidosho, seamlessly blending African, Swahili, and Oriental design influences. Asili House showcases natural elements reflecting the local culture, while Villa Kidosho exudes an Oriental aesthetic.

Asili House is a large villa. Asili means "nature, origin" in Swahili and that's what the architecture of the house characterises. The villa has four ensuite rooms. Villa Kidosho (means beauty) reflects the timeless beauty of the former sultan palaces and it has two ensuite rooms. Book either a single room or one of the villas which are both located directly on the beach
