Godfrey Mtui

Godfrey August Mtui, a 36-year-old Chagga native born in Shambarai Mererani and now residing in Marangu Moshi, is a seasoned guide with over a decade of experience on Mount Kilimanjaro.

 

Married with three children, he transitioned from porter/waiter to guide in 2021 with Genes Adventures. 

 

Fluent in Chagga, Swahili, and English, he shares his knowledge of Kilimanjaro's rich biodiversity, particularly in birds and flora, gained from his extensive time on the mountain. He has summited the majestic peak over 35 times.

 

Beyond the mountains, he enjoys football, music, and sharing his passion for the natural wonders of Kilimanjaro.
